Who says you need to book an expensive holiday abroad to enjoy yourself!? When one of the most amazing places is just on your doorstep. For the past few years we have spent our summers exploring the west coast of Scotland on our dinghy. We have discovered the amazing islands of Jura and Colonsay and have wild camped in Cruib lodge bothy. There is something fantastic about roughing it for a few days, make-up free! This year was no different as we set sail to uncover some other Scottish hidden gems. Setting off in the evening from Dunstaffnage Marina (just north of Oban) we spent our first night in Loch Sunart. This is the perfect sheltered anchorage when the weather gets a little rough. Our trip consisted of Dunstaffnage - Loch Sunart - Inverie - Sanna Bay - Tobermory and then back to Dunstaffnage. We can't rave highly enough about Sanna Bay! One of the most tropical looking bays we have been to. We can't recommend this place enough.
