The new 'Hello My Name is Paul Smith' exhibition is now on at The Lighthouse, Glasgow and we couldn't resist a visit. This exhibition gives such a detailed account on Paul Smith's life and work and captures the design process perfectly.
Our favourite parts of this exhibition have to be the incredible collection of images given to Paul from friends, family and unknown enthusiasts throughout Paul's life. It gives a great sense of personality and demonstrates the influences that filter into his work. It's great to see.
The impressive installation of screens show a collage of images and colours that inspire Paul in creating his pieces. There is a recording of Paul explaining his design process and highlights the key elements to his work.
We would definitely recommend this exhibition if you want to understand more about the background of the design process!
The innovative exhibition is open from 21st January 2016 - 20th March 2016.
The image below is and example of Paul's studio. It's amazing to get an insight into the design process/studio that is often behind closed doors.
It's the last day of 2015 and we thought that there would be no better way to round off the year than to write about stocking our KNIT KNOT KNIT products with Dazzle Exhibitions, OXO Wharf, London. After being approached by Dazzle at New Designers, One Year On 2015 we were delighted to be asked to stock our work within their exhibition between November 2015 - January 2016.
This month we decided to take a trip down to London and we were amazed to see our snoods at the front of the window display!
There is still time to get your hands on the snoods and bags until mid January!
